Frosty - Camp Lead
Frosty's first journey to the playa was with BuddhaCamp in 2011. Every time he has returned it has been with BuddhaCamp and with his wife Lizadilla. Frosty originally focused on infrastructure (with a specialization in electrical work), but after the plague years of 2020/2021 Frosty and Lizadilla assumed the roles of "primary cat herders" for camp to allow the original founders to focus on other adventures in life. Frosty is both the point of contact for the BORG and the on-paper point of contact and camp lead on playa. Outside of those responsibilities, Frosty can often be found tinkering with electrical and lighting systems, trying to make camp's solar panel setup worth the hassle, and helping out in the kitchen.
Favorite Playa Memory:
"This isn't necessarily the most 'fun' memory, but my and Lizadilla's first year as leads was the 'mudpocalypse' of 2023. Suffice to say it was something of a trial by fire...or would that be by water? Either way, we weren't starting on easy mode. Luckily, BuddhaCamp is an amazing group and we came together and made the most of it. We successfully got camp torn down and left with minimal drama, to the point where we can all laugh about it now. Plus, seeing the rainbows on playa was pretty great."
Lizadilla - Camp Lead
Lizadilla has been burning with BuddhaCamp since 2011. Her favorite on-playa activities include walks through the neighborhood, dancing at sound stages until the early morning, and seeking out frozen drinks and grilled cheese sandwiches! Outside of the burn she loves travel, arts & crafts, and watching Mariners and Seahawks games in her hometown of Seattle.
Favorite Playa Memory:
“Sitting in the flight deck seats on the infamous 747 in 2019. My other favorite memory is this one hilarious night we had at Camp Hotdog in 2023. It was the kind of experience where you were glad to have been with a group because nobody would've believed you about what happened otherwise!”
Encore - Infrastructure Lead
Encore’s first burn was with BuddhaCamp in 2017. Now he leads the camp's infrastructure efforts, keeping everything from the camp shower to the generator running in tip-top shape. In addition to engineering and build knowledge, Encore brings his optimistic enthusiasm and a speaking voice that can be heard halfway across the playa.
Favorite Playa Memory:
“At my very first burn, I had mostly been getting toured around by my more experienced friends. However, for one of the days, I’d found a couple of activities in the guide that I really wanted to go do–tutu making for Tutu Tuesday, and some kind of liquid nitrogen ice cream thing. I cheerfully led my friends to the two camps, only to find that tutu making had been cancelled and the ice cream line was wrapped around the block. I was totally crestfallen. Suddenly, a literal ice cream truck drove by and threw out ice cream sandwiches to us and a bunch of other happy burners. Then as we were making our way back to camp, I heard someone yelling from Kostume Kult for folks to come on over and join in for tutu making! Moral of the story: the playa provides!”

Goose - Recruitment & Cafe Lead
Goose joined BuddhaCamp back in 2022 and instantly fell in love with the Burning Man community. She joins camp from Colorado. Spreading joy on playa is one of her favorite things to do which is why she loves helping new campmates prepare for playa and caffeinating burners in the cafe. In the default world, she loves playing outside whether that be rock climbing, paddling down rivers, or downhill skiing in the mountains.
Favorite Playa Memory:
“My favorite memory has to be finding the Pineapple Motel absolutely exhausted and far from camp after a long adventure out in deep playa. Some campmates and I ended up crashing in their cushy (and mysteriously dust free and beautifully decorated) lounge. In the morning, we woke up covered in blankets put on us by the ‘motel staff’ and to a table full of Egg McMuffins straight from McDonald’s.”
Golden - Offerings Lead
Golden's first big burn was with Lotus Dome & Cafe in 2025. He attended his first regional earlier that year as well, and after years of raving, he fell into dust with burner culture and community. On playa, you can spot him dancing until the wee hours and seeking out grilled cheese and snow cones. Off playa, you can frequently find him in the woods, camping or hiking. If he's not there, then maybe check his apartment and see if he's working away on various crafts. He is very stoked to guide camp's offerings at the burn and provide an oasis for those seeking respite from sun, dust, or the hustle and bustle of it all.
Favorite Playa Memory:
"Oh gosh, well it might not be my favorite memory, but it's a very meaningful one. In 2025, four hours after arriving at camp (the Saturday of build week), a wicked wind storm blew across the playa, wreaking havoc with not just our camp, but everyone's. That part I didn't like, but in that experience I found resilience in myself and my campmates. In the weeks leading up to the burn I had been pretty anxious about the weather. I questioned whether I would be able to tough it out. So of course there I was, in the midst of the worst windstorm tthe playa has probably ever seen, fastening down camp equipment. For a brief moment, I broke down into tears, questioning all my decisions that had led me to that point. But then I took a deep breath. I focused on what was happening around me. Yes, I heard some frightened voices, but I also heard laughter and strength, and that is what pulled me through. I'll always remember that moment and the resilience I found not only in myself but in those around me."
Blue - Production Lead
Blue started attending regional burns in 2022 and attended their first big burn with BuddhaCamp in 2024. They beam into the burn from Washington State, bringing with them PLUR, endless energy, and lots of spreadsheets. In the default world Blue can be found playing various sports, arts and crafting, and foisting vegan baked goods onto their friends.
Favorite Playa Memory:
“Hmm, I’d have to say seeing Infected Mushroom play at Opulent Temple in 2024. Their performance was electric and the pyrotechnics, drone show, and El Pulpo hanging out in the back were all so awesome. We had a whole big group of BuddhaCampers together for it and we all danced our hearts out. Everyone was absolutely dripping in sweat by the end of it.”
